Glow Music is accepting your performance recordings, beginning October 18! Glow Music was founded in 2022 and has presented several successful live concerts in the Greater Cincinnati area.
We are committed to promoting student artists who are passionate about sharing their story through their craft. This fall, we are presenting a virtual (online) concert that will reach audiences around the globe! This online concert, played by selected artists, will present various styles of classical music in any instrumentation, and it is your chance to display your artistry! Check out the details to see if you can be part of it. Also, see some details below about our LIVE spring 2024 concert.

- The online concert will be a one-hour collection of video recordings, pre-edited and streamed on YouTube Premier Thursday, November 30, 2023, 8 PM Eastern Time.
- Eligibility
- There is no age limit.
- Students and recent graduates of any nationality can submit.
- Students currently enrolled in music or music education degree programs in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas are invited to participate.
- Recent graduates who have graduated in or after May 2022, and reside in the Greater Cincinnati area can also participate.
- Future Opportunities: Concert Number Four
- Performers who are selected to be presented at the fall virtual concert will be exempt from submitting another video for our spring concert if they choose to apply.The spring concert includes an opportunity to participate in a community education program as a guest artist.
- Participating artists will get paid by Glow Music.
- Submission Requirements
- Performer(s) must fill out and submit a Google Form before the submission is due. Performer(s) must record their playing and submit the file, not a YouTube link. You can submit the file by submitting your cloud link. (OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, and etc.) We discourage Google Drive submissions because that platform is known to decrease the quality of audio and video. If you cannot get a cloud link of your file, please email concerts.glowmusic@gmail.comThe video should be recorded within 6 months of the submission.
The submission is due Friday, November 17th, 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
- Video Content
- One classical instrumental/vocal piece. Contemporary pieces composed after 1980 are encouraged. It can be a set of short pieces. (e.g. 5 Anniversaries by Bernstein or 2 Etudes by Rachmaninoff) The performer must deliver a brief introduction at the beginning of their video in English or in their mother tongue, in this case, providing a correct translation to Glow Music in separate writing. The introduction must include 1) the title and composer, 2) background information or analytical information, and 3) your personal connection to the piece. The introduction cannot exceed 60 seconds.
- The video (introduction + performance) must be between 5 to 15 minutes long.
The transition between the introduction and performance can be edited when you submit.
- Technical Requirement
- Since this submission is final and will be streamed, we ask for the highest audio-video quality that performers can prepare.
- The video’s audio must be recorded with a dedicated audio recorder (e.g.,microphone), not a cell phone.
- Video can be recorded on any device in the highest setting that the device can afford.
Glow Music will strive to honor as many recordings as possible. However, if there are more submissions than the length of the concert allows, we will select submissions based on the highest quality of performance and production. The concert will be promoted on various social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Our LIVE 2024 spring concert series, Concert Number Four, aims to connect artists to audiences near their conservatory’s neighborhood. Performers who are selected to be presented at the fall virtual concert will be exempt from submitting another video for our spring concert if they choose to apply. Concert Number Four includes an opportunity to participate in a community education program as a guest artist. Participating artists will get paid $300 by Glow Music. More information about the spring concert and application requirements will be available soon on Glow Music Instagram, Facebook Page, and webpage.
