Yeon-Kyung Kim is hailed as a versatile pianist and effective teacher. She performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and keyboardist. She promotes underplayed repertoire and unconventional programming. In her classroom and studio, she strives to facilitate an inclusive learning environment where all types of learning strategies and styles are addressed. Yeon-Kyung resides in Macomb, IL, where she serves as a full-time staff accompanist at the Western Illinois University.
