Yeon-Kyung Kim is hailed as a versatile pianist and effective teacher. Performing as a soloist and chamber musician, she promotes underplayed repertoire and unconventional programming. In her classroom and studio, she strives to facilitate an inclusive learning environment where all types of learning strategies and styles are addressed. After serving as staff collaborative pianist at Western Illinois University and DePauw University, Yeon-Kyung joined the piano faculty at Washington University in St. Louis.
